Luz Collections is a brand committed to eco-responsible fashion, specialising in the creation of sportswear and swimwear designed with carefully selected materials to promote the health and well-being of the body, while being environmentally friendly. Le choix de nos matières

From sowing the seed to harvesting the flower, organic cotton is grown without pesticides, insecticides or chemical fertilisers, and without GMOs. Producers use natural fertilisers and insecticides that do not harm the surrounding ecosystems, do not deplete the soil, and are not toxic to the people working on the production chain. toxic to the people who work on the production line.

Our cotton is certified by the gots label, the world leader in organic textile certification. Fishing nets account for more than 10% of the waste found on the seabed. To combat this environmental disaster, we wanted to use ethical materials.
So we naturally chose Econyl, a 100% recycled and recyclable yarn. This yarn has an "infinite" life cycle and aims for 0 waste.
Because we want to take our eco-responsible approach even further, our products are also Oeko-tex certified. This certification means that our products are reliably tested for harmful substances, and guarantees that they are not harmful to your health.

ECONYL

What is Econyl?

Econyl is a recycled nylon fibre made from fishing nets and waste collected from the seas and oceans. After treatment, it is transformed into a fibre and then into a fabric that is ideal for making a wide range of sportswear and swimwear.

At Luz collections, the materials are used to make a wide range of products, including wetsuits, cycling suits, swimwear, leggings, bras, t-shirts, shorts and hooded mackintoshes (K-Way).

Why econyl?

Econyl produces 80% fewer greenhouse gas emissions than conventional nylon, a significant reduction given that nylon accounts for 9% of the synthetic fibres used worldwide.

To manufacture econyl, the raw material is collected in the oceans, whereas it would have taken between 400 and 1,000 years to decompose in a marine environment. By producing econyl fabric, the oceans are cleaned of the millions of abandoned fishing nets that threaten marine flora and fauna.

GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) is the world's number 1 standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It guarantees the 100% organic origin of textile fibres during production.

Because we care about the environment, we want to reduce our ecological impact, produce more ethically and responsibly and offer you quality products. Notre but est de développer une mode durable et éco-responsable, voilà pourquoi nous avons à coeur de sélectionner des matières recyclées ou biologiques. 

Les filets de pêche abandonnés représentent 70 % des déchets plastiques en mer, ce qui constitue une immense source de danger pour la biodiversité marine. 

L’Econyl, utilise cette ressource pour en faire un super tissu idéal pour la confection d'une multitude de produits (maillots, brassières, leggings, combinaisons nautiques, des cyclistes ou encore des body).
