Hello Marie,

Tell us how you came up with the idea of designating shoes?

After several years at Louboutin, Pierre Hardy as a master's teacher and a stint at St Laurent and Sonia Rykiel to finish at Zac Posen in NYC, I was ready to finally create my brand.
I have been drawing since I was 3 years old and I have been in the luxury shoe industry for 14 years. Pregnant, I looked for the perfect flat shoe that I couldn't find. So I decided to draw it.

What is your favorite Marie Laffont model?

All. Because they are all a bit like my personality

Are you more New York or Paris?

Both. Because I'm kind of both. When I'm in NYC, I miss Paris but when I'm in Paris, I miss NYC terribly

What are your future plans for your brand?

I developed my own sole. That I am not ready to let go. Extremely comfortable it allows you to run. Pick up your children from school. Dancing the night away. Or return in the early morning without the walk of shame. She also has a very elongated figure. So the plan is to continue to create new models while keeping my Marie Laffont sole. And to continue in this idea of association between art and fashion. The official launch will take place at Almine Rech Gallery on December 12 in NYC during the LineUp exhibition.

: These are the artists who will be exhibited at my launch. It's going to be "big": Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Frank Stella etc...

Can you give us your favorite Eco tips?

My eco plan is to keep clothes and shoes indefinitely, that's the real ecology, and that's what I offer with my shoes. Also all my packaging is 100% recycled.

And finally, your favorite Luz swimsuit?

The white Melissandre that I wear all the time!
