INTERVIEW HORTENSE

How did you get to know LUZ?

I was preparing a solo roadtrip in Bali last February. It was cold in Paris, and I hadn't seen a ray of sunshine in days. Luz's Insta account was eyeing me, so I went to the shop to try on several jerseys, and my choice fell on a black Julia that never leaves me anymore! I then met Claire and Alix, the founders, during an entrepreneurial talk. They offered me to join the team to take care of digital marketing.

What is it like to work at LUZ?

Galvanizing! We are a very close-knit team. We have all our favorite areas, while being very versatile because we sometimes have to lend a hand to receive packages, welcome customers ...

What you like best about LUZ is...

The Buena Onda ("good waves", editor's note) on a daily basis, the scent of orange blossom that perfumes the office, the brainstorming around Hispanic puns, the boil of Jerry (Claire's dog), the overflowing fishing of Zaz, the laughter of the stylists, discover the photos of the Luztiques on Instagram, and see the jerseys worn in the most beautiful places on Earth!

What is your favorite piece?

My Swimsuit Julia, for its side "girl in bloom" from the front and "who's that girl?!" from the back. I tasted the comfort of organic cotton, and I admit that it is very difficult to return to lycra after trying it...

As an insider, a misconception about jerseys?

Some customers feel that jerseys are too expensive. The development of a jersey takes between 6 and 8 months, and the investment is substantial, both financially and socially, because LUZ is also committed to a sustainable development approach. Buying from LUZ means participating in a virtuous ecosystem that respects the environment more and rewards the little hands of the workshops. I think that our consumption patterns will change fundamentally in the coming years, that we will focus on sustainability and therefore quality.

Are you sensitive to ecology?

Like many, I sort my waste, I take a water bottle and tote bags everywhere with me. I also prefer to invest in a beautiful piece rather than buy several pieces that I will only wear for one season.

What do you hear most in the office?

"I have ONE Peach, ONE Peach!", Zaz's battle cry!
